Anneloes Smitsman
Dr. Anneloes Smitsman (Ph.D., LLM) is an award-winning futurist, systems scientist, entrepreneur, and polymath. She is recognized globally for her pioneering work in systemic and societal transformation through collective intelligence alignment, AI innovation, living systems design, participatory governance, regenerative economics, sustainability, and the activation of human potential.
Anneloes is the founder and CEO of the EARTHwise Ecosystem, which includes a tech startup for game and AI development, an education platform, a research lab, a collaboratory for community engagement, a publishing house, and a token issuance company. Her current focus is the development of Elowyn: Quest of Time, a digital strategy game that serves as the world’s first arena where humans and advanced AI models are trained together in win-win strategies and deception decoding to generate trusted collective intelligence solutions through fun-first gameplay. Through this work, Anneloes aims to address the biggest bottleneck in global AI adoption: trust rather than compute.
The AI models developed through this work are designed with scaling potential toward benevolent AGI, and Anneloes has recently taken a lead role in developing AGI governance protocols through a commons-based approach as the lead author of the AGI Constitution Framework. She also serves as lead architect of the EARTHwise Constitution for a Planetary Civilization, applying living systems principles to governance to guide both society and AI toward regenerative futures.
