Bas van der Lans
Bas van der Lans (1988) is founder of web agency Van Ons and author of the book Handboek voor Digitale Slagkracht.
Bas co-founded Van Ons at the age of 18 in 2006. The company currently has 25 employees and builds websites for TV-programs, charities (Proefdiervrij and Bits of Freedom) and SMEs. In the past 10 years, the WordPress specialist grew to be one onf the main players in the field with clients such as: Marktplaats, KNVB/Sligro and Joolz.
In 2017 Bas and Robert wrote ‘Handboek voor Digitale Slagkracht’. The book advises SME’s on how to create more online revenue and has not gone unnoticed: At the Ministry of Economic Affairs, state secretary Mona Keijzer used the book during her speech for SME Netherlands. This resulted in an invite for a round table meeting on Digitization in the Netherlands.
Van Ons has a long time relationship with The Hogeschool van Amsterdam. Bas believes in strong ties beween education and businesses, as it helps students to directly integrate in the workfield. He teaches at the faculty of Communication and Multimedia Design as he loves to share his stories and experiences. He also developed a Masterclass to help businesses generate more online revenue.
